Happy New Year!

I am not a Kolam expert or rather have not spent much time working on this art!

But I know its a beautiful art. While the dots, lines and curves have a lot of therapeutic effect, as a storyteller I believe it can tell a lot of stories too!

Stories are universal. Stories can come from anywhere. And this Kolam that I had put outside the house on New Year day told met this story…

She was the only one – Obviously one pot and one plant!
She grew up with just herself by her side but she was always smiling and putting her best self out there just like this… colorful and bright and blooming with happiness. She was right there spreading her shine and her owner never moved her from that place.

And for me that says ,” You may think you are alone, good for nothing but you do not know how much difference just your presence makes, in someone else’s life. You do not know how much color and beauty you add to their life. You do not know how precious that smile of yours is, to someone. So, believe in yourself. Keep smiling and never give up!
